Default Application Status defines the way potential affiliates are approved for the program. There are three options Pending, Approved, and Disabled.

Pending means those wishing to be affiliates may sign up online but will not have any affiliate privileges until they have been approved by a store manager.
Approved means those signing up to be an affiliate are granted affiliate privileges automatically when the sign-up process has been completed.
Disabled means the online sign up forms will be hidden from store visitors and new affiliates may only be created by a store manager.

 
Default Application Status:
 

Default Commission Per Referral is the amount of money an affiliate receives for each visitor they direct to your site.

Default Commission Percent Per Sale is the percentage of the order total that you will pay to an affiliate for an order placed by a shopper they directed to your site.
  You may also specify whether you like the Percentage Per Sale be based on the Entire Order or just the Subtotal (tax and shipping charges excluded).

Default Commission Flat Fee Per Sale is a flat amount that you will pay to an affiliate for an order placed by a shopper they directed to your site.

Payout Threshold is the minimum amount of money an affiliate must have accumulated before they will be processed in a payout.

Link Image is the image you want the affiliate to display on their website for visitors to click on to be referred to your store.
Link Text is the text you want the affiliate to display on their website for visitors to click on to be referred to your store. If a link image has been set the text will be used instead as the alternate text seen when someone hovers over the image.
Terms of the affiliate program are displayed on the affiliate signup and edit screens.

This wizard is divided into three sections:

2. Lost password email recovery (Optional)
3. New affiliate email notification (Optional)

When an affiliate chooses to have their password sent to them via email it will display as coming from whatever email address you specify in the below From field. Additionally you can choose to send a copy of the email to the address specified in the CC field (optional).
