Here they fight with Messers. -- God willing we don’t forget. – This one means to cut from above. – Thus, this one then means to displace the cut with might (opposition).

This one completes his cut. – Then this one displaces the stroke and means to grapple him.

Here he grapples him and cuts him across his head, and does this before the described piece is at an end.

This one cuts openly from above. – This one displaces with a turned-around hand and means to step forward and wrench.

Here he steps forward and wrenches with the Messer. One should not forget the thrust to the elbow.

This one charges in anger upon the former and means to cut him across the head. -- This one displaces up with might (opposition) from below and in drawing up hews off the other’s hand.

Here he steps in and strikes the other completely down to death.

Thus this one displaces and grapples with his arms and thrusts his Messer into the other. – This one cuts at his man from above.
