ARMA Ogden, Utah presents A One-Day Introductory Course to Medieval Longswordwith ARMA Senior Free-Scholar Stew Feil What is this?ARMA Senior Free-Scholar Stew Feil, a respected instructor and martial artist with experience teaching students of all levels and ranges of experience, will present a one-day workshop providing introductory training with the longsword. This event will feature core elements and teachings of the ARMA's pioneering Study Approach and Training Method following from key historical sources. Material includes basic principles, concepts, terminology, stances, guards, cuts, strikes, thrusts, and counters. When?31 July 2004Registration will be at 10:30 a.m. We will start at 11 a.m. and continue until we finish, around 4-6 p.m. For whom?This introduction will be ideal for martial artists and general enthusiasts seeking a firm grounding in historical skills. We invite both ARMA members and the interested public to this unique opportunity. Eastern and western martial artists, fencers, reënactors, SCA members, renfaire enthusiasts, or members of similar groups are welcome to attend individually or as groups.
