This is the most accessible edition of Henry Angelo's remake of his father's École. It contains plates from Henry's later works on the cavalry saber (Hungarian broadsword) and the Scottish basket-hilt broadsword, along with his famous fold-out plate depicting the drill sequences of the cutlass.

Japanese Arms and Armor

This is the last peacetime English-language book on arms and armor published in Japan before Pearl Harbor. It provides an excellent introduction to Japanese arms and armor from the Japanese point of view, with many now rare photos of offensive and defensive weaponry.
