There is alot of good advice and general concepts in the paradox but i agree the brief instructions hold the vast volume of the intructional text

This was the first manual i have begun to read. and every one is right he does spend a great deal of time bashing the itaiian rapier. how ever alot of his advice is sound and has cleared up a great deal for me in wma in general.

i have no clue about the stance but i would suggest that insted of learing techniques. you should learn the principals of a fight and use the approprite master cut varaiton to attack and counter.

i agree. not only should you be able to fight unskilled, skilled and drunks but also a wide variety of diffent martail training as well a say a street fighter.

i almost frogot to explain that i relize this could and problly is due to the lack of signifficant practive and sppraing not only with skilled but unskilled fencers. but i thought it should be know that in truth i practice aginst unskilled people and have yet to really fight against someone with wma...

silvers wards

in george silvers pardoxe of defense he sates there are 4 wards with all single weapons two with the point up and two with the point down. now relating to the short staff i am assuming these wards are simualer to swetnams guard that being the ones with the point down like the hagging in the long swo...
