Historical?

Not wishing to Spam the forum (the only one I'm on) or upset anyone. An open question: Does anyone actually stick to one old master or type i.e German, Italian ect? Some of the stuff I've seen posted around the internet seems very elitest and uptight and then a gaggle of fanboys chirping along behin...

Re: New publication: Encased in Steel Anthology I

Any good? Looks interesting and was thinking of buying. Sometimes it's nice to just read a real book without electronics.

Doubyl rowndys stondÿg borne on ye hed

I take these to be what some refer to as the zwer. Been practicing on the pell admittedly with a feather sword but experiencing some problems. I assume the bounce against the pell is due to the thin whippy blunt blade, the hits are accurate and land solidly and I'm using body and legwork quite well ...

Re: Two New Essays

A good little read I enjoyed that. A lot of people bash John Clements I have noticed but he has a great passion for what he does both academically and physically and that shines through, so many others online and writing seem smug and snobby and lack the energy of Clements.

Black Fencer Steel Longsword

So I realise synthetic wasters might not be everyone's choice but they increase the chances of finding training partners as they are widely used. I have the Black Fencer synthetic longsword and based on what I think of build quality and handling I have just ordered their first venture into steel. Ca...

ARMA UK

Hello everyone. My question is basically this, is there an ARMA group in the UK? I live in West Sussex and starting out is proving difficult due to time restraints. There is a club in Brighton that meets on Monday evenings but due to shift patterns and other commitments It is difficult to to attend ...

MS 3542

MS 3542: The Harleian Manuscript. I am interested to know if any progress has been made on translating the text and where I might find those translations? I found a link to Terry Brown's thesis on the subject but the link didn't take me to the thesis itself and of course I have looked at the verse a...

Re: This is new...kinda surprised

Hello everyone, I am new to forums and thank you for accepting my request to join. I have the Bosworth Longsword from the Battle Cry line. The blade is excellent and overall the sword handles very well. The sword is very light and quite small which is perfect for me and I can almost use it with one ...
