I would also recommend a dagger over a second sword. However, if you can pull it off, fighting with two swords can be a devastating style. A friend of mine is very profecient with this kind of combat and it obviously gives him an edge.

Yes, indeed he told me that there is a 2 year waitig list. Which is why I will send him an order soon. I hope to visit him again before I leave Czech Republic.

I usually try to get my feet out of the way fast enough. But ya sometimes I get hurt but I've been walking barefoot pretty much always for 4 years now; my feet are therefore resistant. But I admit, if the going gets to tough I do have a pair of shoes ready :wink:

I know of at least one Eastern European swordsmith that still forges his swords by hand. Check out his site at www.sword.cz .I had the pleasure of visiting his workshop and having a good discusion with him. He's very amicable and talented.
