well as far as unarmed defense goes... If standing place your closest hand right above his knee on his thigh. If he sprawls out on you just do a inside sit-through. If he falls back and wraps you in guard or half guard take your out side arm and slide it down his back from over his shoulder and pres...

well the general idea of a fall break is to increase the area of impact. remember this formula dubbed "the wounding modifer" velocity^2 x mass / area of impact x distance traveled. the items on the left increase damage as they are larger while the larger the things on the right decrease da...

I dont know if I could get into RMA. I am taking my 2nd level test for Krav Maga and Also came from a Systema and Boxing back ground. I am a 10 year vet also of Kali/Escrima and have been known to knock around a good amount of heads in my area. I would be hard pressed to change my format for RMA. I...

Sorry lyn I was not clear. The pins/locks (unterhalten= holding under) in ringeck are of the format opponent on the floor, you standing and using one arm to pin or you are kneeling on part of him (his elbow or his gonads.) and usually trying to get one hand free so that we can stab him in peace. I ...

But I am pretty sure that it would not take more than 10minutes for Lyn to adapt a DLT that would lead to BJJ/MMA ground work (mount, side mont and so on) to something that can lead to one of the 3 pins (especially the 3rd one with the legs) well in the simplist form.. all forms of ground work rely...

I'm not sure if can be considered the same thing, but I have had some sucsess wrapping up the opponents legs a little below the knee and pushing the my shoulder into their shin to take them down. To make this work you really need to drive into the push with your legs and lift only slightly. Thats t...

Oooo.. double leg takedown.. my area of expertise =) First off... DLT is a very very FAST and Deceptive atttack. Well all shots, (the process to get low, and grab the legs,) have to be fast and deceptive to work properly. The proper technique is to step with your lead foot between your oppentents fe...

Surprise is a big element of making any technique work.

Goes right in hand in hand with the phrase i hear eveyrbody say "Its the punch(anything you want) that you don't know is coming that knocks you out!"

it wasn't awesome to the guy it happened to.... but its an occupational hazard... Trust me.. i've had MCL damage, disolcated finger, bruised ribs, and many other damaging things happen to me. Usally when i get hurt.. i usally high five or shake hands with the guy..and ask how he did it.. and all. Us...

it didn't seem like it was 100% deliberate. Its a technique where something bad can happen if your oppenent is completly unsuspecting.. and I believe Keith wasn't expecting his arm to get trapped... why he kept moving forward and not to the inside.
