Training solo can be really tough, especially to start. That said, I have yet to meet someone in ARMA who isn't more than willing to help out somebody interested in joining. I'd reccomend join ARMA as soon as possible, and then if possible visit your nearest study group. I'm not sure how the close t...

Anyone else watch the video on the linked page? It's got them cutting all sorts of things with their wasters. I think these things may have more of an edge than desired for contact pratice.

Hi, pardon my ignorance, but I've got a quick question. I was under the impression that 1.0 seminars where open to none-members wanting to get introduced to ARMA? ( my application is still being reviewed and I would love the opportunity to attend a 1.0 ! ) If somebody could clear up my confusion I w...

I actually just happened to be reading about this in Sydney Anglo's The Martial Arts of Renaissance Europe . I quote " In Spain, with the exception of a fencing manual by Fransico Roman (which certainly existed but has not been located), publications were more concerned with mounted combat and ...

I'm also interested in attending. If it's before July I should definitely be able to make it up to seattle. If it's in July or later hopefuly I still can, but my chances of attending don't look quite as good.

concering sparring helmets

Hey all, thus far I've been using a hockey helmet to protect my head when sparring, but I'd like to move to something that better protects my face against an accidental thrust from a waster (the grid size on the hockey helmet is larger than I would prefer), yet if possible something that gives the t...

Hey all. Anyone around Long Beach CA?

Hi everyone. I'm pretty interested in learning WMA, and was wondering if anyone is training in the southern LA/northern OC area? I've read about the group that meets in Tustin which isn't too terribly far, but if I can find something closer it would help out my gas budget. Thanks for the help!
