Thanks again Stacy and Gene for a well done presentation of the new curriculum. I'm very curious to hear what folks who have not had prior experience to the new way of presenting the material have to say. For those who have been to a 1.0 but have not seen the new presentation, think of the following...

As one of the planners for this event I am immensely proud of my fellow Houston members. I think everyone showed patience and an ability to "roll with the punches" when the unexpected popped up. I'm truly happy to be part of this group. As for everyone else in attendance and ARMA in genera...

Hi Ken, you're correct and your understanding is accurate. James and his wife will not both be able to take all the classes they want. I'm afraid we will not be offerring day care services as this entails legal issues that we really don't want to deal with. However, as a suggestion, those planning t...

I had a chance to play with these in Las Vegas. They feel and perform as well as previously described. My only critique would be the need to straighten them out ofter a few vigouous bouts. That's not to say they were bent in half, just slightly curved away from center. When quantities permit I'll de...

Re: Information about a company.

Or you could spend your money on a waster that you don't need to modify at all to get good performance. Giving money to a company that produces a bad product only encourages them to continue making that bad product.

Re: Training equipment question

I use the triplet mask with no serious complaints. The only problem I have with it (and this is probably true for any 3 weapon mask) is the lack of protection for the back of the head.

Re: Unarmed Fighting by Body Type

First, I do believe a person's body type has some bearing on their apptitude with certain things. However, when I hear discussions like this, it more often than not boils down to how someone would perform in a point scoring system. I think you need to be familiar, if not proficient, with all aspects...

Re: Arioch, Lord of Chaos

Similarly, the person being "attacked" starts with eys closed. The person attacking is free to do any kind of attack (for obvious reasons this is limited to grappling types of exercises). The person being attacked must then get out of the situation.

Re: New Interview with swordsmith Paul Champagne

I love this paragraph: “I have strived to learn about how a sword is used from people who dedicate their lives to the use of the sword. My focus is in manufacturing the sword and the steel. I know that if I assumed that I could make *and* use the blades to the level I want to work at I would be fool...
