Yes, I did send a check! But still sucks none the less!
The check never was seen again and eventually void, some postman has it lodged between his seats.

Keep trying, I had a similar experience and when I pushed through, John had in fact never gotten my application or money . I haven't tried to renew with fears of the same thing happening.
