hello, anyone in new orleans, LA and want to practice ringen i would also do swords but i only have a waster and 2 federschwerts i have limited funds.

from what i understand most of the hand strikes in ringen are palm heel, knife hands, and hammerfists. wich makes sense to me because i have decked a brick wall with my knuckles and it hurt bad, with my palm though it did not hurt at all.

It's the "besides boxing" that has me curious. Boxing is simply the best thing around if you want to learn how to hit people with your arms. I can understand an aesthetic interest in kicks making someone prefer Savate or another kicking focused art but if the OP isn't particularly attract...

Hello, i was wondering where i could buy a sword for test cutting. here in NOLA there is a shop called pen and sword and am going to check out to see if they have longswords. also what is a safe target to cut?

i have also heard that in the 50s ore something that karate students sparred with boxers and they could only stand back and kick (because of the boxers handwork) any thoughts about that?

Well i did more research into savate and i am less interested now because my legs loose flexibilty even after i stretch. anyway i was just curious about it. but isn't in good to know some striking even if someone is more of a wrestler.

in WMA is there anything that is more striking based(besides boxing) than wrestling based? if so could anyone please tell me where to find resources on it?
