So I talked to Mr. Kraus today, and while there was lots of regular military training (maneuvers, shooting, etc.) the Hitler Youth didn't teach him any knife/sword fighting. Believe it or not, I am on friendly terms with a former Hitler Youth, I take Judo with his grandson.
