I believe you and I met for a training session with a fellow about a year ago or so, but it didn't pan out. I'm willing to give it a go again. I'm a complete and total novice, btw, so I don't bring anything to the table beyond a warm body. I'm in Concord, too, btw.

So I've got a waster and the fechtbucher. Now what?

It seems to me that the old manuals are meant for someone who has a vague idea what they're doing, who already has a few bricks in their foundation. I don't. How can I build one? There're not enough people in my area who can do a regular get-together. What are the things I should look at for my foun...

Save your pennies and get an Albion Liechtenauer. You won't regret it. Cold Steel definitely makes some nice weapons, but the trouble is that as often as not, they handle like axes. The balance point on their Italian Longsword is a good 8 inches out from the quillions, where it should be between 2 a...

Have the cold steel pole axe, war hammer and some knives. No sword yet-looking at the new italian longsword. It seems historical. I had one for a week. I liked it. Splendidly built, VERY solid, and it was even reasonably sharp (I could grip the blade pretty well, but I wouldn't want to actually hit...
