Cross Leathers/Rain Gaurds/Thumb Chappes

Hey everyone, In reading several different ideas on these little accessories I thought it might be helpful to have a thread in which images of them could be collected. If you know of any good discussion threads that already exist on this topic, please link them here as well. I am attempting to see i...

I am fortunate enough to have a barn complete with a hanging pell. I only use it when its raining though. Hey John! I have one of those too! Sadly one of my vans is filling it at the moment...must hurry and fix the thing! Is your hanging pell straight or does it have "arms"? Mind is a tre...

Getting started with staff/polearms

Hey Howdy Hey everyone! I work in the school system and have been able to keep a steel blunt in my office and train in the gym on my break times. We are doing some safety reviews etc. and my principle has the concern that a parent/student might see my "sword" and freak out, which is a like...

John Y,

Did you look at the two that I posted links for above? I think you got to handle both of them at the regional training day. A good training pair for the money. especially since the size and cross/grip/pommel are the same.

Jesus blessings to you brother!

Hey Howdy Hey!

I am praying that anyone who is attending the event this weekend has a safe, challenging, and productive time. I look forward to seeing the video's and reading the articles that will come out.

I hope ARMA will be represented in some way.

Sharp

Hey John Y, I would love to come up and visit you guys. I leave for Haiti in about three weeks so it will have to be after that. Glad to hear you have found others to train with! Keep searching and reading reviews on the different swords. I found some detailed reviews about the Tinker sharp. It may ...

Hanwei review

Hey John G,

If you search around, I did a write up about the sword I posted a link to and the sword you are mentioning. It is a little short but is usable. If you search through my posts it should show up.

Hope that helps.

Cool!

Steven,

Thanks for sharing the PDF. It is now in my "dig into when I have time" pile. One of the wasters that I made was a great sword, parrying hooks and all, but I had yet to find any material dealing specifically with it.

Thanks again!

Agree!

Nice post. I agree 100%. We must diligently guard ourselves against ever falling into this mentality of just taking someone's "word" for it. NEVER be at the mercy of the teacher. Listen, study, evaluate, seek to see the "whole", in context, and then begin to draw your conclusions...
