Las Vegas 1.1 Event - Cancelled

Hello everyone. I'm sorry to say that the NTP 1.1 that was scheduled for early to mid January 2009 has been cancelled. Holiday time and many members' current economic status, along with a general lack of apparent interest have caused us to postpone this event to an as yet undetermined date. For thos...

Well, I.33 has sword and buckler, and I've seen several people who have done a lot of I.33 with sword and round shield to very good effect. Unfortunately, our oldest historical manual dates to circa 1295. This was reference to MS I.33 My point was that we have no surviving fechtbuchs which detail h...

Dear God. What was the purpose of that video??? I would hope that ancient melee was somewhat more organized. Unfortunately, our oldest historical manual dates to circa 1295. Sword and board was certainly still popular during the time period of your questioning, but seemingly largely abandoned for th...

Regarding our 1.0 this weekend, I was very pleased that so many were able to attend. Approximately half of the attendees were from out of town, and I understand what a commitment that is. Thanks again for coming! I am encouraged by the new presentation method, as it allows the novice student to move...

On a more serious note, my motivation to excel in the ARMA stems from many areas of interest and a quest for personal growth. Like I suspect most folks here did, I grew up playing D&D and reading historical fantasy. I also had a deep interest in the history of Western civilization, particularly ...

Yes, please give me a call when you get a chance. I don't think we can make it to any of your events this year (except October, of course), but we will be going to Mexico and we're trying to get a 1.1 put together here. Actual date seems to be dependent upon John's schedule. Unfortunately, Greece is...

I wish the lighting were better, its difficult to see some of the movements in many of the clips. S&B experts - A question for you, as my knowledge here is weak. It would seem the initial attack in every clip is severely out of range, while the follow-up strike then closes to show the technique....

Mine should be in the mail on Monday. Along with an interesting little book recounting the Rhodesian conflict of the 70's. I caught the poleax bug when I saw Aaron P's trainer the other month. Hey Aaron, who made that thing for you, anyway? Great job guys, can't wait to get my hands on it! Thanks fo...

Dittos on Shane's comments. I enjoy training with my blunts a great deal, but I think the effect would have been lost on me in the early days. Also, for the same money, you can pick up two wasters, a pair of fencing masks, some gloves, wrestling shoes, and a few fechtbuchs. Then when you find a trai...
