Hello Michael, My name is Joey Marmorato and I'm the Study Group Coordinator for the Atlanta study group. As Stacy said, our director lives in the metro area, but we also have an active study group here. Naturally, I think ARMA is a much better option than any alternative posited above. There is a w...

I must agree with Stacy - you are in a great place to learn. Not only is our director very close by, we have a study group here as well. I'll send you a private message so you can get in touch with me and see about coming to training. I agree having a mask is definitely an important place to start. ...

Hello, Yes, like Jaron said, our director lives near Atlanta. You can contact him for information at thearma@comcast.net Matt is correct, there is a study group in Athens at the University of Georgia, of which I am a member. We're kind of winding down our activity in the next few weeks because of th...

Hey Kat. You may remember me, as I used to train around here with Ryan. Ryan and I were the only two that really stuck around, then he moved a little ways away and I moved to Athens (UGA) to head up the group there. However, I'm in Roswell for the summer and I'm having some meetings here. I'll send ...

I was pretty sure there wasn't anyone there, but you never know. I'll be there for two weeks in June, so I'll have one weekend. I'll think about heading up to Athens. I haven't been there outside of visiting my wife's family in a few years. That's cool. Our group kind of disperses a good bit during...

Hey Will,

I'm not aware of anyone in Savannah, and it doesn't appear that anyone has responded.

Athens is the closest place I'm aware of that there are members (a very active study group, even), but we're a few hours away.

May I ask why?

So...anyone close to N.GA that's interested in a fairly well read noob? As you can see on the practice partners and study group listings page, I lead an active group at UGA, which will probably be your best bet, though you'll have to drive some depending where you are. I don't want to derail this t...

Re: ARMA YOUTH In practice and in existence ?

Well, I am 17 and avidly participate in the small Atlanta group. Though I am not a child and I practice normally with all the adults, I am still currently a youth member. A good friend of mine has also just submitted his application, so there are at least two of us here.

Re: How do some providers compare with each other?

I'm not sure if Corey intended this thread to stay on the discussion of MRL swords (if so, I'm sorry), but can any of you speak from experience on Arms & Armor pieces (out of minneapolis)? I believe I've heard good things a few places, and I have read good reviews on myarmoury, but it seems ...

Re: New to WMA/ Georgia ARMA Members?

Oh and as far as wasters, purpleheart is definitely discouraged around here, but I own a Raven studios longsword and have a New Stirling Arms arming sword on the way that should be here soon, and some people make their own, so you can get a decent first-hand look and feel for what the different prov...

Re: New to WMA/ Georgia ARMA Members?

Hello! We have a relatively small group here in atlanta (currently) that meets weekly (ideally) with, well, at least two of us. John does come out sometimes as well, and that is very very valuable, so you are luck to be near him, as are we. I'll send you a private message with some more specific inf...

Re: Anyone else going to Blade show.

I read this forum all the time, but have never posted before, I figure this might as well be my first. I and a few other members here may be going. I haven't heard back from many of them nor have I heard from Mr. Clements, but I and one other are planning going. We'll be wearing our ARMA shirts prob...
