What happened at the end? Was anyone injured from that? Neither guy fell over as far as I can tell...but did either of them even take hits? They stayed out of range from any direct thrusts for the most part I think, though they might have gotten some cuts on the arms... If anyone knows what the resu...

I'd like to know if there are any other ARMA articles on making simple wasters other than the ARMA Ogden one. That article, while sufficient to get the basics for making it, doesn't specifically say what woodworking tools one would need for cutting everything out. Since I need to try to get about 6-...

I'm definitely going! Whoohoo!
I don't have a dagger waster yet; I'll see if I can get one by then.

Hello Eric D (And Eric A.! so many Erics...), Yes, I know the feeling of being on campus and not having space to store things, so that is why I do not have a pell yet. I am moving off campus to an appt soon though, and I hope to be able to construct some sort of pell once I get settled (I'll have to...

Re: Issues with padded weapons

So...you use a sch 80 core Without a dowel then? hmm... I did try to get some stuff for making some paddeds a while ago, but haven't been able to get a decent type of foam (I don't have a credit card yet, and am apprehensive of getting one, so getting stuff online hasn't worked well for me yet, I do...

Atlanta Southern Regional Event

Hello all!
I just wanted to know if we have a set date for the Atlanta event (is this an exclusive ARMA event or part of something larger?), and if there's any other details yet. I'd love to register and finally get myself to an NTP 1.0, so let me know thanks!

Re: Raven's Wasters

I think I actually got one of those at an anime convention once. the pommels come right off cause they're just glued there, and the flats are not meant to take much abuse (they're rather thin). So yeah, I wouldn't recommend it for an ARMA waster certainly.

Re: How did you get started?

I've been interested in Martial Arts, particularly the swordplay iaspects, ever since the backyard stickfighting days. My first year in college, I got involved in the aikido club, and thought that was cool, but it wasn't satisfying in that I knew what I was doing was not that practical in self defen...
