Do any of you practice with other weapons besides swords, and if so, which ones?

We are starting to learn Rondel. And ringen if you consider the human body to be a weapon.

In ARMA Provo, we mostly stick to longsword/greatsword and sword & buckler. But we also do dagger work, staff, and grappling.

I practice with daggers (single or double) and spears quite often. (I also practice with thrown weapons, but that's a separate situation altogether).

We started some dagger work from the Codex Wallerstein not long ago. I hope to do sword and buckler soon but I only wish I had more experience with it.

I've done a bit of dagger work, but not recently. I'm planning to incorporate more of it into our weekly practices.

Meyer longsword is the core of the ARMA SoFL curriculum, but over the past year we've expanded our training to include Mair's quarterstaff every week, plus sword & buckler or ringen roughly every other week.

Mostly we work on longsword plus sword and buckler in Price, Utah because I have mostly beginners here. However, my personal training includes Ringen, dagger, single sword, quarter staff, halberd, pole axe, sword and shield, messer, rapier, and some armoured combat. When I get a couple of side swords put together, I plan to include that as well. I am better at some than others, but I am constantly learning and improving.

Besides longsword we do a lot of dagger, some ringen beyond ringen am schwert that happens in sparring, some poleaxe.

For us I think lack of equipment is an inhibitor.

ARMA-Appleton primarily sticks to longsword, but the dagger work has become a close second. I have very limited sword and buckler expirence, but in the future we will use that system as well. We toss in a little ringen as well for good measure.

Well, I love the messer, but it's still a sword. I do lots and lots of dagger. Some staff. Some ringen.
