Query- acadamie de l'espee by girard thibault

Postby ziv stavitsky » Tue Feb 14, 2006 3:20 am

hello to everyone
this is my first post
i am taking interest in the writing of girard thibault called
acadamie de l'espee(1628)
girard learned from spanish masters a system called "la destreza"
i dont know to much about it only things i could find on the internet especcially here http://www.martinez-destreza.com/articles/spanish1.htm
what i wanted to ask/discuss is if :
1.ARMA has translated this book or knows about it
2.if anyone practices the method
3.does anyone know how i can get a copy of an english version if it exists(preferably not paying hundreds of dollars in the process <img src="/forum/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" /> )
4.anything anybody has to say about the subject

There is supposed to be a copy availible from chivalry bookshelf this spring. Don't know what it will cost. Meanwhile if you are interested in destreza, you might want to look at this. http://www.thearma.org/Manuals/destreza.htm

hope this helps.
