sparring mask

Postby Ray_McCullough » Sun Mar 12, 2006 5:45 am

I was wondering what a good fencing mask would be? Should I get a traditional fencing mask? Will a fencing mask have enough padding for full contact sparring? Where is a place to buy a good but not to expensive mask?

That's a good question! you mean something besides a modern fencing mask....one that'll hold up to steel and wood? What do you mean by traditional mask?

Hey Jeff
By traditional I meant a sport fencing mask. I noticed from the arma pictures , some members used them. I m wanting to get a mask or helmet that can be used for padded sparring swords, wasters, and steel blunts (eventually). In a decent price range.

Im definitely open to any suggestions on what others use, whats good, whats not good, etc..
