A new article on Norman history.

Postby Patrick Kelly » Tue Mar 14, 2006 4:39 pm

Hello all,

A project I've been working on since the first of the year is now finished and on-line. There really isn't anything there concerning hard-core martial technique, but it does provide history and information on the Normans during the 11th century. I thought some of you might find it interesting.

This is brilliant work Patrick. It's obvious this is a labor of love for you. I hope you dont mind if I print the article and keep it in my files for future reference! <img src="/forum/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thank you both. This was a very enjoyable project and a subject that's always been of particular interest to me. A friend jokingly described this article as "Normans for Dummies". He was joking but I realy think that describes it well, or perhaps "Cliff's Notes on the Normans" might be better. I intend to write future articles on the individual Norman figures that will expand on a lot of the points mentioned in this first article.

Allan,

Please print away. However, as Albion owns the article they should be consulted for any other type of use.

Thanks!

P.

Well done. Certainly a pleasure to read. ... very interesting to learn that there was so much more history to the archetypical Norman knight than the conquest of England.
