Paul Chen weapons

As an ARMA neophyte I'm trying to get my collection started. I've noticed some pretty cheap Paul Chen Norman-type weapons for sale on e-bay occasionally over the last few months -- are these a decent investment or SLO's that need to be avoided? Is e-bay generally trustworthy?

Thanks,

For that matter, are the Paul Chen rapiers good for sparring?

I've had a chance to swing the Practical Single Hand Sword around and I was really impressed-especially for it less than $100 availability on ebay. The weight and balance felt good to me and the actual workmanship seemed solid and pretty tough. I'm hoping that he does a long sword in a similar vein- that way I can just buy a cheap & practical steel blunt.

I have the Chen "Practical Katana" for kumdo. It is a decent sword and cuts well.I presume this level of functionality carries over to their euro-line.

I haven't handled any of their western pieces, but a friend of mine bought a Chen katana and it is a very nice tool. Very solid, sharp, cuts well, and the blade has no bends or warps... All in all, it's quite nice, granted, it ran him around 4 or 5 bills...
