There are also many good links on knitting maille at Sara's Chainmail Connection: www.chainmailconnection.com Several of these links have animated videos which show you "how to" in close-up detail. One of these days I'm going to start working on a hauberk of my own (riveted or riveted/solid). All I need is to get a round to it. <img src="/forum/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

Sara's collection is pretty good. I've bought the book in question, and it is mostly about decorative butted maille. There are some photos of rivited maille, but the photos aren't very clear. You can find clearer images all over the web.

I'm not sure how much you could make in three weeks. I've spent many weeks just making a welded maille glove. It's already got well over 4000 links, and I haven't even got to the cuff yet. I haven't figured out how to rivet, so I just weld instead. It's probably easier, too.
