Are there any members in Greenville, North Carolina? If so, is there a study group in this city or close by? Thanks, J. Meredith

Me? If it is me to whom you're referring, sorry.

I reside in Houston on the southside, as signature line states. Although, my heart is always with the OHIO STATE BUCKEYES!!!

If there is another Gene in ARMA, then I for one am certainly glad to have you in the organization! :D

Yes, hello there. I don't think I knew there was a Greenville in NC...though I think there is one in Tennessee. Anyway, whereabouts in NC might you be located?

Greenville, North Carolina is in the eastern part of North Carolina. East Carolina University is located here along with the state medical referral facility. It is the major city for eastern North Carolina (pop about 80K). It is approximately 75 miles from Raleigh and about same distance from the Virginia border. My assumption is that someone else at ECU is probably a member. What I am looking for is the nearest study group or a training partner. Any help is truly appreicated. John Meredith

Hello Meredith:

I actually am located not too far from you on Roanoke Island, Outer Banks. Greenville is just a relatively short jaunt along 64 to the OBX. Are you an ECU student? As far as study groups go, I actually train weekly with, and am a member of, the Virginia Beach study group under Matt Anderson and Shane Smith.

However, if you are serious about a training partner, you can always trek out on Sundays to the OBX for training with me. Better, if your commutes allow, you are welcome to join me on Saturdays at our VAB regular training sessions. Still, I'm willing to train both days on the weekends, if Virginia Beach is too far from you.

What some folks do is train solo, but trek out at least once a month to the closest study group. You would be amazed at the difference in value practicing with the group makes. Both my daughter and I make the trip weekly to train simply because of that.

Hi Rod,

Thanks for the response. Do you post a training schedule or calendar of events. I have a pretty busy schedule, but would like to travel out to the OBX for this purpose. Please let me know . Also, I truly hope I have not caused too much confusion with the forum moderator. Thanks, John Meredith

John:

The training schedule for VAB is Saturdays at 10:am til around 1 pm. However, you can PM me via this forum for more pertinent details. Trekking to the OBX to train is also simply a matter of coordinating when you wish to. Again, having made contact, perhaps private message (PM) is the way to go to further details. Look forward to seeing you.
