This is hard to say unequivocally without actually handling the artifact, but the photo seems to indicate that a band no more wide than about 1/8 inch (3.17 mm) can clearly be seen as sharpened over the length of the blade on each edge.

This I would maintain is a proper bevel, and we see it, no less, on what is a ceremonial sword. I have put such a bevel on five swords that I have sharpened by hand with files and stones, and it has proven durable and biting in practice-cutting.
Depending on the sword, I prefer to do a two or three-zone differential sharpening with the beveling (but never letting the band get too wide). However, the artifact looks to have a uniform bevel over its entire length.
