John Clements will be instructing at our event in South Saint Paul on Feb 17-18. This event features an exclusive tour of Arms & Armor with an opportunity to examine pieces from the Oakeshott Collection.

There are five members and two applicants in the Twin Cities trying to form a study group and we would appreciate your support at our first event - hope you see you there!

Thanks.

Elizabeth
p.s. I thought I posted this earlier today but I haven't seen it. Apologies if this is a duplicate.

Our first ARMA-Twin Cities seminar happened this weekend. We had a tour of Arms & Armor on Friday night, and then a full day and a half of instruction from John Clements over Saturday and Sunday. Thank you especially to all the Twin Cities members who pulled together and went the extra mile to put this together: Steve Pangerl, Matt Donaghue, Erik (and Colleen) Johnson, Rebecca Schaefer, and Bob Ferdinand. A huge debt of gratitude also goes to all the ARMA-Appleton members who made the 5-hour drive out here: Aaron, Kevin, Eric, Jeremiah, and Herb & Natasha. Thanks also to John Clements, who was willing to fly to Minnesota in the middle of February to give us a seminar and help our new group get going.

See you in August at the International Gathering!

I wanted to give a big thank you to the ARMA Twin Cities group for putting on a well run event. I know that all of us from ARMA Appleton had an awesome time. The tour of Arms and Armor was a great way to start the weekend, and being able to handle some of the pieces from the Oakeshott Institute was an unforgettable experience. Thanks to John Clements for braving the northern winter, giving a ton of information, and making it seem so easy. Thanks to the Pangerls for their hospitality, and to everyone with the ARMA Twin Cities Group for everything. I look forward to your next event.

Thanks to all involved. As one of the token "non-members" it was an amazing experience. After handling the actual historic swords, I felt ready to die a happy man...then the training began. Again, I felt humbled, inspired, tired, elated, and satisfied all at the same time. The experience was once in a lifetime and worth it. The hospitality of the ARMA Twin Cities group was great, I felt welcome the whole time. It was simply great and I look forward to growing as a fighter with all of you.

Though it was only a 4 hour drive for some of us, hehehehe.
