Postby Iuri Earp » Wed Oct 03, 2007 11:59 am

Is there any ARMA longsword training center in Brasil(Rio de Janeiro)?
if not, is there any other w ay that i could begin my trainings of longsword swordplay of the ARMA system?

Hello Iuri

A large number of ARMA scholars have had to start out training by themselves until they could form a study group. Thus ARMA has lots of materials to help people in your situation. I would suggest starting by reading the "Where to Start" (http://www.thearma.org/wheretostart.htm) page. Then read the article "The Basic Guards of Medieval Longsword" (http://www.thearma.org/essays/StancesIntro.htm). Spend a lot of time practicing moving between these primary guards until the transition feel very natural. Of course, then move on to the other articles.

Good luck,
Ran Pleasant
