What about swinging around a steel blunt in a park or someplace public? anyone had any law problems doing that? That's something I've wondered about.

California does not ban it but LA county does. Los Angeles and a few other SoCal cities have a town ordinance banning the carry of knives over 3", but what you do in your own back yard or in the context of a martial arts school does not seem to fall under this.
