after looking through some different things i have concluded that the axe needs further investigation on my part. i am looking for a trainer. but i think i will have to construct my own axe waister. would a head constructed out of solid blue cam foam be sufficient? in help on this would be appriciated. :D

I've seen a couple of axe heads made out of hard leather before that looked like they had possibilities for training, but I haven't played with them, so I can't comment on their usefulness. It might be something worth trying if anyone else here doesn't have experience to suggest otherwise.

I have the hard leather ones on a halberd and a polleaxe. You can buy them separately and put them on any length stick/pole you want. They are quite sturdy.

Polearms Book

Postby Jeffrey Hull » Sun Dec 30, 2007 12:24 pm

Hey SB:

Two of our fellows just got their polearms book published

POLEARMS OF PAULUS HECTOR MAIR
by David James Knight & Brian Hunt
Paladin Press
http://www.paladin-press.com/detail.aspx?ID=1616

It ought to be of interest to anybody pursuing polearms prowess.
