WISCONSIN AREA SUMMER SERIES

Scholars in the Wisconsin area.

Throughout the summer I am planning on holding/hosting several traveling summer practice events. We have Members belonging to diffrent parts of the State. The idea is to coordinate a few gatherings in these locals and get some group training time in as well as a well-placed barbeque test-cutting etc..

I am trying to reach out to Scholars in and around the State to get some face time in with all of us...so if you are located near WI and have any interest in WMA, but perhaps are not a member, or have been quitely hanging out here- declare yourselves-!

Contact me here or at iceman9108@yahoo.com. We will look at where you live and if our traveling sword practices will get you nearer.

Reminding also that I am currently based in Appleton WI and we hold regular training sessions on WED PM's from 7:30-9:30 in Appleton.

Aaron, didja figure out when you're coming for a Vegas visit? The weather is starting to warm up now. I know you won't want to be here when its a hundred and ten. Good luck with your thing later this month. I know you'll do well.

Hey Jimmer! -

Yes, we would like to visit you guys, prior to 110 degrees, (I hate that surface of the sun heat you guys have!) It is shaping up to be a pretty busy spring, I am gone quite a bit for ARMA or Copper training. I will shoot you a call for some dates...

Thanks for the encouragement, I hope we find someone to mix it up with, does not look very promising...sounds like I would have to "court" someone for awhile before we could take a look at stylistic diffrences, which I guess I understand on a certain level, but on another, this opportunity is bigger than both styles, it's too bad that is not realized by some.- AP

Yes, please give me a call when you get a chance. I don't think we can make it to any of your events this year (except October, of course), but we will be going to Mexico and we're trying to get a 1.1 put together here. Actual date seems to be dependent upon John's schedule. Unfortunately, Greece is out for us this time around. Give me a shout when you have a minute.

Hello, my name is Micah Leinbach and I am a currently a high school student located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I discovered ARMA recently and have been voraciously reading the articles available on the main site, but this is my first trip to the forums. I'm hoping to join the ARMA-Youth program in the near future as well. Would there be any chance for Youth members to attend these Wisconsin events, or is it reserved for the senior members of ARMA? I would love a chance to do more than just read about medieval sword skills, be it watching them in action or even getting a chance to get my hands on a sword for a few moments!

Hello There and welcome to ARMA! You know we were just discussing this event plan, there will be some dates forthcoming. We are in the middle of coordinating this so stay tuned.

- I just finished a bunch of out-of-State training so my schedule is clearing. I am hoping to put one on up North of Appleton Area, In the La Crosse Area, and the Southern part as well, I am sure Milwaukee would be do- able, and would make sense- ARMA Youth -no problem, sure you could attend- just be sure parents are on the up and up- more to follow-

Note the the Vegas folks- yikes! Sorry I've been so busy I kind of neglected you, I'll call you soon-! later- AP

Hey Micah! Welcome to the arena. I know Aaron already greeted you and invited you to all of our events this summer, but I thought I would throw in here too. I will be located a lot closer to you than he is, and I have been trying to put together a study group in Milwaukee for a little while. I am currently a decent ways away, but in August I will be moving back to the area (West Bend). I have been in ARMA for over a year now and fairly well involved. I would be more than willing to get together with you when I get back over there and train. In ARMA we make sure that you get your hands on a sword for more than a few moments! :)

If you would like to ask me some more questions feel free to e-mail me at Sulan_Firegaard@yahoo.com. I would suggest to help your beginning to try really hard to get to one of our Summer series events (as soon as Aaron and I can nail down some dates...) and I HIGHLY suggest getting up to Appleton to train with Aaron on a Wednesday night, I know that can be rough from Milwaukee, but one trip and you will know that it is worth it.

Anyway, Get in touch and we can try and get you going in the Association (as long as your parents are cool with it). I look forward to working with you.

All right, good to know there are people around. I'm going to talk to my parents probably at the end of this week (currently finals have all my attention, unfortunately) but I've casually brought it up before so I'm not to worried about that side of things. Over the summer I should definitely have some free days for practice and such. I'll keep watching these forums for updates.
