ARMA in San Diego, CA?

Postby Lorraine Munoa » Tue May 29, 2007 10:23 pm

I know there are at least a few people lurking around on the forum who are ARMA members or trying to become so and who want to gather in the San Diego area.

There's a group in Orange County but for some of us that's still pretty far away to drive very often.

Anybody in San Diego county? Show of hands?

"Not much incentive for me to fight 'fair' is it?"

Hi Lorraine,

My husband and I are in San Diego and have been practicing together...without much success in finding a good location. When I first signed up on the forum I asked who else was in the Area and had no success.

Sweet. i havent had much luck with Lorraine. I would definitely like to get together with someone of like mind. I've been given the sound advice of attending the OC study group for a while to get a better foot hold. I think that this is what I will do but I would definitely like to talk to you and maybe we can collaborate on gear and such.

I got together with the ARMA Group in Orange County today. They seemed like good guys and very knowledgeable. I got some good instruction from Gable and Jonathon. Some technical instruction from Steve and some spirited sparring with Antonio. We went over the guards and some drills and then sparring. They seemed like a good group of guys and I look forward to meeting up with them again.

Vance,

Although I'm currently in Sacramento, I have family that lives down in San Diego (college area) and I visit from time to time. If you get a chance, PM me your contact info and maybe we can get together next time I come down.

I posted this thread a while ago, but I'm resurrecting it because Lance and I have decided to form an Unofficial study group here in San Diego County. PM me for details on the location. I will be remaining more active in checking this forum regularly.
We'd like to meet on Mondays at five pm, and at first we don't expect practice to go much longer than an hour or two. Eventually we hope to make ourselves an Official Study Group.

Also I created a Google group for "ARMA San Diego" we should use it to start organising a little bit. I believe you still have my contact info.
