Another newb.

Postby Michelle Ong » Sun Aug 10, 2008 2:16 am

Uhh.

Oh, kay. I'll start off by saying that I'm very, very interested in authentic renaissance/medieval martial arts. And I'm dying to get my hands on a wooden longsword at least. For now, I'm stuck with a softball bat.

Anyway, I'm living nowhere near Europe, I'm from Singapore, South East Asia. And from what I've read, none of the ARMA groups are here...
This is a shoutout to ask if anyone's in Singapore too. (None of my friends are remotely interested in the topic... yeah.) As such, I'm EXTREMELY new to this whole thing. I know nothing. I'm a complete noob.

I'll just be lurking around in the forums a little. If, by some huge miracle, there's someone else also from Singapore, drop me a pm and let's try to start a group over here.
"Oh, great, he's trying to slam the revolving door again...'

Welcome to the art. You will need to log in with your actual legal name. :D

Lance Chen is a WMA practicioner (and maker of padded swords) based in Hong Kong, which might be a reasonable trip for you.
