ARMA in Europe

Postby Peter Buch Mortensen » Mon Sep 01, 2008 2:25 pm

I know that the topic title is not entirely feasible, but anyway:

I'm a european who's been interested in renaissance weapon fighting for a while now, yet I haven't found anywhere in my country (Denmark) to indulge in this. So I want to ask if any of you know of any major european organisations like this one, so I might know where to look?

There is a HEMA group called Laurentsiusgildet in the Aarhus area if I´m not mistaken. And In Malmö there is also a group under David Lindholm who is a ARMA assosiated good Hemaist.

Then you have Hammaborg whpo are in Hamburg, Schola Gladiatoria in England, Boars tooth in England, and a few others in Germany. There is one groupe in Gothenburg, Göteborgs Historiska Fäktskola (around 70 members). GHFS is hosting a large event 31/10 - 2/22 in Gothenburg called Swordfish 2008 with groups from all over northern Europe. Could be a good idea to come there and meet people.

Thank you for all your help. This has been tremendously helpful, and I think I've found what I needed.

And I'm sorry about the rules violations. It has been corrected :)

Again, thank you.
