Is there anyone in the Kansas City area still?

Postby MichaelFriedl » Tue Sep 09, 2008 7:21 am

I was looking through the site for someone in the Kansas City area and so far only found someone named "James Sterrett", who hasn't posted for about a year now. Is there anyone else in the KC metro area?

Actually James was just at Origins in Columbus Ohio this past June and seemed eager to get back into training, so give him a try.

Thanks for the heads up! I sent him a PM.

I am a complete beginner, a blank slate, but eager to learn if I can get the chance. Learning the true, historical skills has been a wish of mine ever since I saw "El Cid" on video when I was 12.

Some great introductory material can be found in our video section, and maybe try the what's new section for up to date ideas. of course, start reading through the historical manuals and get a fitness program going if not already happening. James has great technical skill, so I do hope you get in touch.

Sorry about the slow reply!

I'd be happy to practice & sent you a PM about it.

I think Keith vastly overrates my skill, though. :)

ah, but a humble demeanor is among the finest qualities a scholar can have in any case and I am sure any rust will shake free quickly with a training partner finally at hand. have fun out there!

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond, wedding preparation has totally taken over my life, and will maintain that control until after Oct 11th. (yeah, big surpirse there. )

Dropped you and email James. Just need to set a date and get some into on which of all the online manuals ARMA provides I should focus on first, and what kind of equipment I'll need to end up getting.
