Important news, I will be holding a new event here in Appleton WI. The date for the event will be May 23rd, 2009. We will start at noon and go til we are done, but sometime around 6:00pm is the target.
Now let me say that if you are going to go to one event, make sure it's the IG in TX this year. But, if you are going to go to two events, or can't make the IG, then please consider this event.
Cost is $20.00
This event will be held as a very special new category in the ARMA. It will consist mostly of free-play and sparring. We however, will begin the session with some drills and exercises, and some new material directed at teaching you how to teach yourselves when you leave. I will also give some instruction on Ringen, and a bit of Ringen-am-schwert, as well as some tactical decision making instruction.
I will also hold a special preview of some other cool "surprise" stuff, which- well... will be a surprise. Anyway, past Appleton events have been pretty cool, and this will be no different.
We have all manner of equipment, including pole-axes, daggers, rapiers, bucklers, Dussacken, messers, many different types and manufacturers of longswords, which will all be available for you to check out. The only weapon you will need to bring, is pretty much one longsword, but you may bring whatever you want.
I will have room at my house, but space is limited, so let me know as soon as possible and I'll save you a slot-!
