2handed single edge weapons - sources and usage

It looks like most falchion handles are too short for 2handed grips, but I seem to recall a video of John Clements using a curved weapon (falchion? longmesser?) with 2 hands cutting a flying tatami mat.

Are there any Western treatises specifically about using a single-edged weapon with 2hands as opposed to just applying longsword techniques to a 2handed messer?

That's a Kreigmesser or a Langenmesser. I don't know if it is specifically mentioned in which text. It might be Lekuckner(sp?).

cool...any online translations of him? I managed to find an original scan on the schola gladiatoria site, but...well, I can't read german yet :oops:
