Practitioners in IL or St. Louis

Postby Michael Elmore » Wed Aug 21, 2013 7:23 pm

Hey folks. Just wanted to see if there are any study groups or Western martial arts practitioners in decent driving distance of where I'm at. I live about an hour due west of Springfield, Illinois in a small town called Winchester but I make frequent visits (about once a month, sometimes more) to St. Louis area (Fenton to be exact) since I have family down there. I work primarily with longsword but I do some shield and buckler work as well. Coming from an area made up of farming communities, there's not a whole lot of people interested in history or martial learning so I just wanted to put a post out there to see if anyone's nearby who studies.

Yes, contact Andrew Ulrich from ARMA St. Louis. His email is on our Practice Partners page:

Andrew is a great guy to work with; very knowledgeable and very athletic. You will definitely learn from him.

Not ARMA, but there are some very good people practicing in Lincoln, Illinois. Chris Vanslambrouck is the man to talk to. A bit of a distance though.
