Crowdfunding for the Triquetra Collection of antiques

The Academy of Historical Arts is helping to provide a home for the Triquetra Collection in our full-time training facility, The Vanguard Centre. However, the Triquetra charitable organisation needs some financial support to help prepare a suitable atmosphere for the collection and to ensure that this will become an adequate long term solution.

If you can spare some funds, it would really help us to provide a decent and safe home for this rapidly growing antique collection focused on the historical European martial arts. With a proper home, we can make more information about the items in the collection more easily available for local, national and international enthusiasts.

We have prepared an ordered list of the items in the Triquetra Collection, indicating the year in which each item was bought into the collection. Highly detailed data sheets are under preparation, and will begin to become available on this page as they are finished. Similarly, the page will be updated with photos when we manage to arrange these.

We want to make the Collection more easily accessible to local, national, and international audiences. It would be great if we could put datasheets and detailed photography on our website. It would be really cool to be able to arrange handling sessions and to give presentations on the subject.

Just 3 days left before the fundraising campaign for the Triquetra Collection concludes!

We have managed to raise a little over £800 so far, which has already been able to buy some dehumidifying units and space heaters to begin to work on the climate control within The Vanguard Centre. We have been able to buy some plastic boxes to store the collection itself, to keep the items safe during storage and to facilitate easy movement from place to place for handling sessions. There are just a few little items left for us to purchase to bring the project to conclusion.

The fundraising campaign concluded as of this morning, and I'm delighted to announce that we reached our goal successfully. Several pieces of climate control machinery have already been bought, and the final pieces will be purchased over the course of this weekend. Some airtight boxes for the storage of the Collection have also been bought.

This fundraising effort has allowed us to make significant advances in controlling the atmosphere inside The Vanguard Centre in preparation for the antique collection to move into the venue. This move will occur over the coming few days, as the final pieces of machinery arrive, and soon the Collection will be available for viewing and handling sessions or for general study.

Our website will be updated in the next few days to reflect the results of the campaign. We will fulfil the perks as soon as possible, although for some items (such as the facsimile of Donald Walker's treatise), it may still be a little while before this other projects are complete.
