In reply to: James Knowles:

This really isn't an advertisement, is it? Sounds like an informal gathering that's very much on-topic. If I weren't a two-day drive away I'd be there!

James, I only live about 4 1/2 or 5 hours away. Your always welcome in my camp! I would be a great to see you again after 15 years!

Hi Folks,

I just sent out the address and MapQuest link today.

If there is someone out there planning to attend who did *not* get an e-mail, it means I either don't have your e-mail address or don't have your *correct* e-mail address.

Look forward to seeing some new faces from local ARMA groups (

For those of you who are out of towners with a long drive:

It might make it worth the drive to make a weekend of your trip and stay in the area.

The Ohio Rennaissance Festival is running, nearby : http://www.renfestival.com/

And also the Cincinnati Celtic Festival is that weekend: http://www.cincinnaticelticfestival.com/

Nathan
I had alot of of fun realy enjoyed it i went to a site Nine circles budo equipment and found a great cutting stand that i may make so when i get mine i will have it(i think i can make it portable too, so next time i may have one to bring we could use).

I realy like the Brescia even though the pommel was hurting my hand, just couldn't figure out how to hold that pommel, if only i had 1,500 dollar's i bet i could figure out.

It was good to see David(another ARMA member who is close, just not that close) i realy had a good time and it was a learning experience for me i have not done much cutting so i did enjoy it thank you immensely.

It was a blast. Thanks for hosting it. Much fun. Eager for it to happen again. I've got comments on the swords in the thread at myArmoury.

Glad you guys had a good time. It was very cool to have the extra dimension of "real user" perspective on the swords. Also cool to see the "longsword v. rapier" matchup that I have read oh so many posts about across the fora.

Just did my heart good to look across the backyard and have people sparring, cutting and working forms with blades all at once, it's a beautiful thing
