My most heartfelt congratulation.

I'm telling you... this is just another reason to start looking TODAY, for a posdoctoral position in Atlanta. I still believe that a martial education is a good as ANY other education. It would be great if I can get two in just one lifetime.... jejej!
I would be the happiest guy on earth if I get to train there regularly. Maybe in the future... with any luck.

Keep the helm steady... there is a nice wind blowing at your stern. Congratulations again, John.

Congrats I was wondering when this would be comming, but I had always expected it to be in Houston, TX. Why the change of local? Nothing wrong on the home front I hope.

Well, it looks like you're going to see a good bit more of me in the coming months. How fortunate for those of us who live not far from Atlanta.

I'm thinking I'll just sell my house, get a new job and uproot the family- I am sure my Wife will be all for it---or not?

My thanks to everyone for their kind comments and messages of support.

This has been a long time coming and has been a lot of work but it is certainly a first to be proud of. In a way it is kind of sad that this is so far the first and only of its kind for our subject given how rich our heritage is and how ubiquitous Asian martial arts schools and sport fencing clubs are. But still, it is a welcome change from the backyards, parks, garages, rented space, and public facilities so many of must use to gather. I am very happy to have it located here in the quiet wooded hills and cool air of Georgia only hours from so many of our members and Study Groups in the region.

In the coming months I will announce a schedule of open classes, regional workshops, member-only study days, and special senior seminars. I hope to see many of you visit soon.

Yeah, we wish it was in Houston, but John moved and had a better opportunity to build it in his new location, so we'll just have to visit like everybody else.

Incidentally John, your forum profile description still says Houston under your name. Might want to correct that.

Awesome, JC. I knew this was coming when you said at the Utah gathering that you had a "very special announcement" that just happened to coincide with the completion of your house...

Congratulations John!!
Well since this is probably not very far from where I live now (Calhoun...though I need to check a map to see where Dallas is), I'm definitely interested in visiting and taking an intro class (if there is one). Not sure how I'll be able to do this and school though, so I'll probably have to wait a while. Until then, I'll be reading up and trying to learn (mentally at the least) as best I can until I can find a teacher or group at college.
Anyways congrats and I look forward to hearing about the success of the Iron Hall!
