Update on Mair's Lasoo technique

It seems that both Cod. I.6.2.3 as well as Cod. I.6.4.5 shows the "lasoo" technique that is featured in Mair's manuscript:

Yet despite this, I am still at pains as to actually make out what kind of an "offensive weapon" this could be :x
