I.33 guard reminder

Could someone please remind me of which guard/ward it is in I.33 where you have the buckler crossing under your sword arm, protecting your right side/ armpit? There a really cool drawing of an occurence at the battle of Culloden (1746) where a charging Highlander is doing just that. It will serve my current project well! <img src="/forum/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

Wagner and Hand show such a ward only in a position called the longpoint.

Hi Allen,

I can't decide if you are describing a varient of 1st or if you are describing 3rd.

1st is in the upper left corner and 3rd is in the lower left.

Hmmm i guess its closer to 3 rd except the targe is edge on protecting the right side and the sword is cutting over it. I have a picture of the illustration saved on my machine- I just dont have a way of posting it.
