Krumphau, the new edition!?

Postby M Wallgren » Mon May 02, 2005 7:56 am

In the NTP 1.0 in Columbus OH last weekend thread Aaron Pynenberg wrote;

The new info was very exciting including the "new" Krumphau-that one was a surprise for me but makes perfect sense.

and Jaron Bernstein wrote;
Including a very different approach to the Krumphau and Schielhau that cleared up a number of other Meyer things that had mystified me for some time in one fell stroke (ok, bad pun ) .

Very intriguing!!!

Please share with us!!!

I think all of us are waiting for John to post something. It would be improper for one of us to post it, I would think that would be assuming he wanted it out in the public area. We should probably wait for some direction from him before going to detailed on it-

Martin

I started a thread(Name that cut) that i am trying to get some people thinking about the unterhau in a diffrent way i don't want to spring the new versionon everyone and get a somewhat adverse reaction i am easing into the new version, go take a look at it.

If i'm not mistaken John has made mention of this on the e-list.

I know John and I disagree here, but if it's the Krumphau that he and I have been debating for the last 4 months, then understand that there may still be a lot of debating to do. As the discussion develops I'll put more out.

I think we need to discuss this in one thread or the other, let's decide on something, might be better in the other thread since there are some long post there already.

I ,like Jake, have discussed this at length with John and I likewise tend to disagree with the unterhau theory when it comes to the krumphau based on the fact that the manuals all give us pretty specific direction and none of them advocate using it to strike from below along two of the eight lines as I understand Johns argument.That said, I do think Johns theory is intriguing and I eagerly await his post. I do not currently agree with him, but I am willing to listen to his reasoning as his instincts have proven to be pretty good on these sorts of things over time.

Hey Shane.

Carry this over into the "name that cut" thread. This one just distracts from that one. And you can read my high-speed argument.

Guys, the "unterhau" theory is really not a proper characterization of what I showed you all then. Additionally, we have since reached further insights that have produced additional revelations. <img src="/forum/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" /> This interpretation is not something I intent to broach on the Forum for now.
