New site and Fiore translation etc

Postby Matt Easton » Mon Jun 06, 2005 10:47 am

Hi all - I haven't been round here for a while, but saw Shane on another forum and it reminded me to paste a link to you guys here. I hope it may be useful to some - the growing online translation of Fiore's versions of Fior di Battaglia here on our site:

All the best,

That's great Matt, thanks! Now you'll have to drop in once in a while for the inevitable interpretation discussions.

Yep - the Exiles are doing a great job with the translation as well - I think it's a great thing to start getting this all up online.

Oh, on another topic, we just put up some new resources, including Albrecht Dürer's 'fechtbuch' of 1512 - courtesy of James Roberts of MACS.
You will find Friederich Dörnhöffer's 1910 book (in German) and the facsimile of the original held in Breslau/Wroclaw in Poland online at our site here:

(click refresh on the page if you can't see it)

Enjoy!

Hi all - I'm pleased to say that I've revised our Fiore page with more information, and have also posted online my translations from Getty of the one-handed sword and spear sections - follow the link:
