Anyone interested in Hopes New Method?

Postby Alex Hughes » Sat Oct 22, 2005 3:42 am

Hi guys,

Hope this doesn't contravene the forum rules on discussing other clubs activities.

A couple of years ago a very good plate by plate discussion of Passchen was hosted over on Western Arts. We're going to start a similar point by point discussion of Hopes NM and would welcome anyone interested to voice their opinions.

Sir William Hope developed a "New Method" of fence in which he sought to combine the practice of small, back and spadroon into the one system. Linacre School of Defence has further information on Hope and copies of his various works.

Hope to see you there.
