I picked up the book Sigmund Ringeck's Knightly Art of the Longsword about three to four months ago.
I’ve been work with it taking in all there is to it. On pondering the Schiller and its movement I'm finding it's not the dropping force but the rotational force that makes this strike a meisterhaw. That is how it'll defeat the unskilled that rely on strength alone.
In the Manaois Eskrima system which is a bladed system there is a movement similar to the schiller and similar usage also. The key to that movement is not the liner force but the rotational force to gain the line.
Any one else have any thoughts on this Meisterhaw?
