Knightly arts of combat

Postby David Lindholm » Fri Mar 31, 2006 2:49 am

Dear Friends,
Just a quickie to inform you that the second volume of our Ringeck project is finally available from Paladin. I think it is even better then the first one. John has helped us with checking and offering help and comments on the contents and have also written a foreword. I will happily try and answer any questions you might have. Post them on the forum with a suitable subject so that we all know what we are discussing.
Best wishes,
David Lindholm

Our copy of the book arrived in the mail today and Steve & I have already leafed through it briefly. As with the earlier longsword book, we're very impressed by the volume of information contained within it and the quality of the illustrations and commentary. Both books are definite must-haves for any study library.

The illustrations and commentary are a real drawing point for relative newcomers like me. I'm looking forward to studying the volume in greater detail, especially the large section devoted to wrestling.

David, my copy of your latest book, Knightly Arts of Combat, arrived in the mail yesterday. I looked through it last night and read substantial parts of it, particularly the wrestling section. This is an excellent work, and I recommend it to all our members. It is a fine companion to the first volume, Knightly Art of the Longsword.
