dagger and swordplay seminar at IDS

Postby Jay Vail » Sun Jul 23, 2006 4:03 am

In cooperation with John Clements, director of ARMA, I am pleased to announce a one-day seminar on fundamentals of the European dagger and Renaissance swordplay at the Iron Door Studio in Dallas, GA, on Saturday, October 28, 2006.

The session will start at 9 a.m. and conclude at 5 p.m. The morning session will address dagger fundamentals drawn from MEDIEVAL AND RENAISSANCE DAGGER COMBAT, published in July by Paladin Press. Participants will have an opportunity to see selected techniques in action and to practice them. The afternoon session, led by Mr. Clements, will address fundamentals and concepts of Renaissance swordsmanship.

Tuition is $110 a person. Space is limited to 10 participants.

Contact Jay Vail, jayvail@aol.com, for details.

Any dagger, preferably the point should reach to your elbow when you hold it in the reverse grip. Also a longsword.

I'm definitely going! Whoohoo!
I don't have a dagger waster yet; I'll see if I can get one by then.
