Drumming up a KY NTP 1.0

Postby Jake_Norwood » Wed Nov 15, 2006 12:42 pm

We're currently organizing an NTP 1.0 + seminar with John Clements for President's Day Weekend this coming February. I'm looking to see how much interest outside of known Tennessee and KY study groups to come to this two-day event.

Sucks to be you guys. We get John C and all you get is that old Gene Tausk Guy...what a wuss!!!

Seriously, though, I don't think it will be much of a problem. We're doing a 2-day event as well, and the second day content hasn't been determined yet, but it will be different from what you're doing.

Unless we don't think anyone is going to come and we won't be able to pay for it, in which case some of us might come up there for Gene's event.

I'm going to try and do both.

Jake

p.s. Gene, you can pay me back for that when I see you in Feb!

Alright man, challenge accepted. I'll get back on my regimen of steroids and Geritol and we'll duke it out in the land of the Buckeye! In all seriousness, I am looking forward to seeing you again and crossing swords. It's been a long time and I have also been saving up my Meyer questions. I only have....oh, couple hundred or so..... 8)

Actually, I'll be just as happy if I can take you on and not have to deal with the jetlag which has been my constant companion recently.

In any case, if someone gets the chance to train with both John and Jake at the same event, I certainly would recommend it.

And, to put a final plug on the whole thing, I once again remind everyone of the ARMA International Gathering which is only a few months after these local gatherings. At the International Gathering, not only will particpants have the ability to train with John and Jake but also with a really uber-cool bunch of people. There will be a great variety of events and workshops which will test everyone to their limits, not to mention interact with your fellow ARMA-ites. It will be the ARMA event of the decade. So, I don't think John or Jake would disagree with me when I say that if you can only make one event in 2007, the International Event should definitely be the one.

Once again, a reminder to all ARMA members that registration is now open for the 2007 International Event. Check your calenders, check out the website, and ask if YOU have registered. If not, time is a-tickin away. Houston 2007 awaits.

Yes, I'll second Gene's comment that if you only go to one, the international event is it.

But why do only one?!?

Please keep noting here if you are interested in a KY 1.o.

Jake I would love to attend a 1.0 here in Louisville! However, I am begining a paramedic class on the 3rd of Jan. and that is one of the weekends we have class Saturday morning. Maybe I still can show up and learn lots of new things?

I'm sure that there will be lots of good reasons for you to show up after your classes! Each day will be about 6-8 hours of instruction, and it will probably start around 10 am. John is an unmatched teacher--you'll get a bunch out of it just showing up for even a few hours each day.

Not that I encourage such behavior! ;-)

Note to all interested parties--we're pushing the date back due to facility scheduling problems. I expect something later in Feb or in early March, still.

Please continue to voice interest if you plan on coming (or would really like to).

I'll check with the management. My vote is for March.
